  • Description

    hello!

I'm currently transitioning through life, I was going to go live in France and settle down with a partner but it didn't work out in the end. I still want to move to France, discover life there and learn woodworking skills (carpentry or furniture making... I haven't decided). It's a bit late in the year for me so in the meantime I want to find work in France so I can learn skills, meet people and community. I love being outdoors and being adventurous, learning skills and being creative. I'm from Portugal, studied photography in Scotland where I lived for many years and I have family from the States and Brazil. The past few years I've also worked in Alaska on boats during the salmon season and in Portugal the past few years I lived on a farm and worked in a ceramics studio and I had the best time of my life! I would say I have a the ability to try many different things, and a great capacity to learn.

  • More details about your skills

Since I left high school I have worked different jobs and supported myself while studying photography at university. My first job was in a pottery studio where I worked as front of house, during that time I also lived with my grandparents and helped them out in their old age.

Since I've worked many jobs, besides having studied photography, I've worked in cafes, restaurants, done catering, dog sitting. For two years I worked in a ceramics studio where I was in charge of production and running the studio. While I worked at the studio I lived on a community farm in van. Living with kids and lots of people, I cooked and helped build things. I also have lots of experience supporting in construction projects, I've done plastering, used big machines for woodworkin and worked with skilled people. I want to slowly transition and dedicate my time to a more focused practice and soon I'll start a carpentry apprenticeship.

I grew up in a family of musicians, I play the violin and I love to jam.
