Hi! :)
My name is Martha and I have always dreamed of seeing the rainforest with my own eyes. Nature makes me feel grounded and inspired – especially being surrounded by trees, animals and beautiful landscapes. I love hiking and spending time outdoors, and I am very curious about wildlife and different ecosystems.
I am also motivated by meaningful connections with other people. I enjoy meeting new people, learning from different cultures and improving my language skills.
Traveling alone is a personal challenge for me, but I would like to step out of my comfort zone and grow from the experience. I believe that Workaway offers a wonderful opportunity to connect with people, support meaningful projects, and feel part of a community while discovering a new country.

I am generally very motivated to learn new languages, as I believe they open the door to deeper cultural understanding and meaningful connections. I am especially excited about the opportunity to learn Spanish while staying in a Spanish-speaking country. Being able to communicate in the local language would mean a lot to me, and I am motivated to practice and improve as much as possible. In addition, I would love to further develop my English and French skills through everyday conversations and shared experiences.

I grew up helping in my grandparents’ garden, so I am familiar with basic gardening tasks and enjoy working outdoors. I would be very happy to support with gardening, planting, harvesting or general farm work. I like physical work and being active outside.
I am also comfortable around animals and treat them with respect and calmness. During an internship in a veterinary clinic, I learned how to handle animals without fear and with care. Since then, I have always felt very connected to working with and around animals.
In addition, I studied primary education and enjoy working with children. While my main interest for this Workaway experience is nature and outdoor projects, I would also be happy to support with childcare or educational activities if needed.
