Description
I am a university student studying mechanical engineering. I am motivated by helping others and am particularly interested in how city infrastructure like bike lanes and public transportation make living better and pollute less. I have been raising guide dogs for the blind since I was 12 years old. I also enjoy getting middle and high school students interested in science; I started a university organization to support science education in middle and high schools. I am also an avid epee fencer.

More details about your skills
i come from a do-it-yourself family so learned a lot of household repair skills from my father. I've helped rebuild decks, fix appliances, and repair plumbing, though I have seldom done that independently. I have been very active in engineering building competitions building gliders, balsa planes, marble rollercoasters, and simple vehicles; through these activities I gained experience using a variety of power tools and also learned the importance of precision in design and execution.

What else ...
I grew up playing lots of card and board games with my brothers. My favorites are Rook, Code Names, and Settlers of Catan. I haven't met a game I don't like.
I love dogs and have spent much of my life raising Labradors to become guide dogs for the blind.
I am team captain of the university fencing team and would love to have an opportunity to practice while I travel. Some more information
