    Description

Hello, I'm a retired professional living in Harrison Hot Springs, nestled between picturesque lakes, mountains and the mighty Fraser River nearby. HHS BC is a great place for all kinds of outdoor activities and leisure. I live on a half acre lot a 2 minute walk to the beach at HHS. I am offering RV or tent camping on my property in exchange for casual work. I am fluent in French and Spanish originally from Montreal PQ and have worked and travelled all over the world.

I will need assistance in several projects such as in the operation of my portable sawmill, which I will teach you how to operate it, as well as operating a small excavator, which I will also teach you how to operate it if you do not have any experience. This work will take place at REO Rafting on the Nahatlatch rive near Boston Bar, an hour and a half drive from HHS. I am helping the owner in rebuilding his operation as there is many logs to mill as a result of the forest fire last August 2023. This is a great place to camp either in your RV or tent. You can check out the web site at REO Rafting. I have other projects at the HHS property such as clearing a storage garage, doing a garage sale and helping out on the maintenance and de- winterizing of the boat in April.

Your work/stay will include use of my canoe and fishing gear, well stocked tool shop, use BBQ gear, plenty of space for your RV or tent, and hydro hookup as well as wifi. I am a musician, guitarist, drummer and singer, so music jams are on the list if you are musically inclined and into that kind of thing. I can provide a large tent, a queen size bed and all the linen if needed.

If you have any questions about logistics I would be happy to message you. Cheers.

I speak 3 languages fluently so I could assist French and Spanish speakers to learn English. I am a musician so we could have music jams if you are musically inclined. HHS BC is a small town surrounded by the lake mountains and rivers. There are hundreds of places to see if you are into hiking, biking, boating etc. There is a very artistic community here in HHS with several arts and music festivals as well as many First Nations communities within the surrounding region.

    What else ...

HHS is a 30 minute drive to Chilliwack, there is limited public transportation. I could accommodate providing some transport under certain conditions. There is plenty to see and do at HHS area, mountain trails, historic Kettle Valley trails for hiking and biking, Fraser River is nearby, fishing, canoeing, panning for gold, mountain climbing, visiting the Hell's Gate area, white water rafting on the Fraser or Nahatlach River in nearby Boston Bar, camping of all kinds. HHS is a great place to live and visit.
