Description
Hi! I’m Marine, I’m 24 and I’m from France.
I’m currently traveling around Southeast Asia for a few months. I chose to take this time to discover new cultures, different ways of living, and to step out of my comfort zone. For me, traveling is not only about visiting places, but about meeting people, sharing real experiences, and making my journey meaningful. That’s why I decided to join Workawa, to help, connect, and contribute wherever I can.
I’m particularly interested in supporting children. I already have experience working with them: I’ve been a babysitter, an au pair for 5 months, and I’ve also worked in a leisure center. I genuinely enjoy spending time with children and helping them learn, grow, and build confidence.
Beyond that, I’m also happy to help with outdoor tasks, construction work, DIY projects, or any other support you may need. I enjoy practical work and I’m not afraid to get my hands dirty.
I’m curious, sporty, open-minded, and always eager to discover new things. I adapt easily to new environments, and I’m motivated, positive, and ready to contribute with energy and a good attitude.
Thank you, and I’m looking forward to meeting you and sharing a great experience together 😊

I have already taught English in France to a 14-year-old girl and it was a really nice experience. I enjoyed helping her learn and seeing her improve little by little. My TOEIC score is 830, and thanks to my studies and personal practice I feel comfortable speaking English. I watch a lot of videos, listen to podcasts and I also read in English to keep improving. I would really like to become even better at communicating in English. That’s why I would be happy to help with beginner or intermediate English lessons, while also learning and practicing at the same time. For me, it’s a great way to share knowledge, meet new people and improve together.

More details about your skills
For 5 month, I worked as an au pair in France, which made me very comfortable with children and family life. I prepared daily meals, helped with homework, took care of household chores, did some gardening, and even assisted with house renovations. I also spent a lot of time looking after the family dog.
I’m responsible, patient, and used to adapting to different family routines.
In December, before my departure, I gave English lessons to a 14-year-old French girl.
I also really enjoy hands-on projects. I’m currently renovating my own van, which means I spend a lot of time doing DIY projects, building furniture, insulating, fixing things, and learning new practical skills along the way. I love learning by doing and I’m not afraid to get my hands dirty.
I have an engineering background and completed a three-year apprenticeship in project management on construction sites. During those three years, I also worked abroad for three months in Malaysia and one month in Norway, where I significantly improved my English. I passed the TOEIC with a B2 level, scoring 830 out of 950.
Beyond the technical aspect, this experience means that I’m organized, practical, and comfortable working both in a team and independently when needed.
Overall, I’m adaptable, easy-going, and always eager to learn new skills. I enjoy being helpful and contributing in a concrete and practical way 🙂
