Description
After completing my Master's degree in Psychology, I am craving time outdoors - to get my hands dirty, connect with nature and and free my mind. Later this year, I will be working as a therapist but before starting into that world of deep emotional work I want to recharge my batteries by working under the sun.
I've always found balance, relaxation and satisfaction ain nature and manual labor. I’ve volunteered in a few different parts of the world, spending several months at a primate rehabilitation center in South Africa and more recently helping out at a dog shelter in Indonesia while traveling through Asia. During these experienced I learned to love hard work, long hours, sweat, dirt, and the deep reward that comes with it. There's something uniquely fulfilling about seeing the visible results of a long day’s work under the sun—especially when it's achieved as a team.
In my future job, progress often happens slowly and invisibly—inside the mind, over time. That’s why it’s so important to me to also stay active in the physical world, where change is tangible and teamwork is essential.
I’m not afraid of mucking out stables, bugs, or long days in the heat—I love animals of all kinds and genuinely enjoy working with others who are just as motivated. I believe there’s so much to learn from each other, and that any hard task becomes lighter when shared with a good laugh and good company.Languages

More details about your skills
Over the past few years, I’ve picked up quite a few hands-on skills through volunteering and traveling. Through my work at animal rehabilitation centers, I’m very used to physical work, caring for animals, cleaning, feeding, and just getting stuck in wherever help is needed. I really don’t mind getting dirty and actually enjoy hard, repetitive tasks—especially when done as part of a team.
I'm quick to adapt, happy to take initiative, and always up for learning something new. Whether it's gardening, mucking out stables, harvesting, or fixing things around the place—I love the sense of accomplishment that comes with practical work. My background in psychology has made me a good communicator and team player, and I genuinely enjoy connecting with people from different walks of life. I've studied in the Netherlands, Singapore and Austria and love being in international environments. German is my first language, but I also speak English at a professional level and have started learning some Italian over the past year—so I’d love the chance to practice more while helping out in Italy!Age

What else ...
I’m a big fan of card games and board games. I love cooking with others, especially sharing dishes from different cultures (and trying to veganize them!).
In my free time, I enjoy hiking and yoga, reading, and spending as much time outside as possible. I’m always up for a deep conversation, a group dinner, or just a quiet evening with a cup of tea. I also really value moments of calm and am very comfortable being independent and respecting people’s space when needed. Some more information
