We are two friends born in raised on the East Coast of the U.S. We are currently both students at Northeastern University in Boston, Massachusetts. Lola is studying Politics, Philosophy, Economics, and Finance with a minor in Sustainable Business Practices. Molly is studying Architecture and Design with a minor in Environmental Science. We are drawn to workaway because we want more than traditional travel - we’re seeking immersive, enriching opportunities that allow us to learn, contribute, and engage with local cultures in a meaningful way. We are adventurous, open-minded, and not afraid to get our hands dirty! Some of our favorite activities include hiking, dancing, swimming, cooking, being with animals of all kinds, meeting new people and building genuine connections. We both have experience with international travel and service work abroad and are excited to bring our energy, curiosity, and enthusiasm wherever we go!

Language is, of course, a crucial part of culture, and we’re very interested in learning languages as a way to truly immerse ourselves and build meaningful connections with our hosts and local communities. We are open and eager to learn any and all languages along the way! We can also help teach english or spanish if desired!

Our soft skills are curiosity, open mindedness, positive attitudes, hard working, empathy and patience. We are both respectful, responsible, and reliable. As for hard skills, we are strong, great with animals, quick learners, can cook, have experience gardening, catering and putting on events. We are both very adaptable, and have lived in many different types of conditions throughout our experiences traveling and volunteering. Molly has volunteered at an ethical elephant rehabilitation center in Thailand, and Lola volunteered building a school in Nicaragua. Looking forward to our next adventure!

What else ...

We love music (especially live music) and dancing whenever we can. We have a few favorite card games, but we’re always excited to learn new ones. We are super outdoorsy and will likely want to explore as much as we can! We are very adventurous eaters, but nothing gets us quite like a nice charcuterie board!
