Hi !!

I'm Manon, 23, from Toulouse in the South-West of France. For the past four years, I've been focusing on political sciences, history, law, economics and sociology in Sciences Po. Currently, I'm pursuing a master's degree in "Ecological Transition, Risks, and Health," driven by my passion for safeguarding the environment and reducing my carbon footprint.

Aside from academics, I love travelling by train and bike. Back in 2022, I embarked on an Interrail adventure, visiting Switzerland, Prague, Vienna, Slovenia, Croatia, and Italy. Last year, I had the incredible opportunity to study for a semester in Northern Irelland, at Queen's University Belfast. From exploring coastal landscapes to adventuring in the Scottish Highlands, each hostel stay has given me the opportunity to make new friends and enjoy new cultural experiences.

Now, I'm on the lookout for an exciting Workaway opportunity in a hostel. I'm really eager to find my first Workaway opportunity setting where I can both work and mingle with people from different backgrounds!

Regarding my qualities and skills, here are some informations!

I am very punctual, meaning you can rely on me to be on time and adhere to work schedules.

Thanks to six summers spent working in my father's bar, I've gained skills in service, cash handling, customer communication, and teamwork. I am motivated and sociable, and I truly aspire to improve my English. Working in a hostel would be perfect for me as it would allow me to be in daily contact with travelers from around the world.

My English skills are good, hitting at least a C1 level, and my Spanish is pretty good too, around B2.

I'm also a neat and tidy person, capable of maintaining cleanliness and order in both the working and private environments. I'm also able to manage bookings and coordinate activities.

Being a very autonomous person, once I've understood the expectations and procedures, I'm able to work independently and be proactive!

I'm a huge fan of slow travel, relishing long journeys by train or bus, and I also enjoy exploring on foot or by bike. I love going on a hike!
I like running, skiing and summer activities such as surfing, even though I've only tried it a couple of times!
Cinema is a regular part of my routine; I absolutely love movie nights. And I'm always up for game nights as well!
