Description
Hello! My name is Kiana :)
A bit about me: I was born and raised in California. I finished four years of university where I studied Environmental Science & Policy and Documentary Filmmaking. From this experience, I have a background in environmental sustainability and some skills in filmmaking.
Since then, I have been doing seasonal work for the last 6 years - working on hiking trails, doing some construction, working on an organic vegetable farm, and have worked at a few different ski mountains. I would love to continue learning more about permaculture and sustainable farming practices.
I love to cook and have a lot of experience with animal care as well – I have worked for a few years as a dog walker and dog sitter and grew up with dogs at home. I also am great with children and was a nanny/babysitter throughout college. Additionally, I have worked as a customer service representative and waitress in the past, which would translate well into a hospitality-centered role.
I am outdoorsy and love hiking, skiing, camping, biking, dancing, scuba diving, and rock climbing - you name it. My partner, Andrew, and I will be travelling to Chile and Argentina in November and December, where we plan to do a lot of hiking, swimming, dancing and volunteering! We are both taking tango lessons right now and are excited to go to our first Argentinian milonga.
Overall, I am outgoing, kind and like a good laugh. I am responsible and self-sufficient, but also am open-minded and deeply enjoy learning from others. And I’m so grateful to have the opportunity to explore beautiful places!

Hello! My name is Andrew and here’s a little bit about myself!
I was born in Minnesota, went to college in Illinois, and have been living in Washington for the past 8 years! In college I studied Biology with a focus in Ecology and Evolutionary Biology, as well as minoring in French.
Since moving to Washington I have primarily worked in the Outdoor Education and Recreation industries. I worked as the Village Naturalist in a remote intentional community and retreat center called Holden Village. At Holden I also served as a maintenance technician and trail crew coordinator. I have been working as a forestry technician for trail organizations since leaving Holden in 2020. I have a lot of experience with many different hand and power tools including chainsaws, hand saws, construction equipment, and much more!
I love to hike, bike, swim, and generally be active. I love to have fun, make jokes, and spend time sharing experiences with others. I’m excited to explore Chile and Argentina, meet people, and experience the culture!
