Hello, I'm Katie!

I'm 27 and from Cornwall, England. I have travelled in South America, Asia and Europe both with friends and alone.

At the moment I am trying to learn everything I can about alternative living and different communities and projects in the south of France! My partner and I are looking to move to and buy a place in France this year, currently we are staying with family in Aveyron, Occitanie.

I have experience living in communities and organising collaborative alternative diy music and arts events. A lot of my work is in building art exhibitions and installations, community engaged projects and workshops.

I love dramatic nature like mountains, cliffs by the sea, gorges and rivers! Enjoy hiking and exploring, and would love to do more rock climbing.

I enjoy learning about (and practicing!) : putting on creative events / jewellery making / photography and some video / psychology / creative metalwork sculpture /spirituality / herbalism / permaculture / history / diy alternative culture / aerial circus / basic woodwork and fabrication / making books and zines and traditional printmaking / off grid living / yoga / aerial circus / hiking / cooking / rock climbing and plenty more!

I work in building art exhibitions and installations, both indoors
and outdoors.

I have a Teaching English as a Foreign Language qualification.

I did my Permaculture Design Certificate a few years ago so I'm excited to keep learning more about permaculture.

I experience with things like screen printing, photography, enamelling, some basic metalwork as I have been learning MIG welding, jewellery making etc.

I also have experience producing creative projects and art exhibitions. So I have knowledge of organising events, writing, marketing, website design, social media, working with people, budgeting, writing funding applications and proposals, researching etc. I would like to spend even more time creating collaborative immersive art and music events that are sustainable for both people and the planet. As well as running workshops.

In addition to my creative interests I enjoy adventures in new places and exploring in nature. I like reading, making kombucha and cooking healthy food.

When I have time I also enjoy yoga, rock climbing and aerial circus.
