Hey everyone!
My name is Kalina (this is my Slavic nickname — that’s the reason why you can’t see it directly on my profile). I’m 26 years old and I love to travel in an unconventional way. At the moment, I live in Leipzig, Germany.
In 2024, I travelled for half a year only by bike and train through different countries in Europe. I slept either in my tent or at local people’s places, which I found via BeWelcome. There you can also find some reviews from people who hosted me.

My friends and family keep saying that I’m a person who gives them a lot of good vibes and motivation. I have a lot of energy to give — mostly I spend it on little everyday adventures or helping people out. 🙌
Last year, I started using Workaway and I loved everything about it. I have already had many great experiences. My tasks were mainly house-sitting, pet sitting, renovating inside and outside, helping with household tasks and preparing meals, helping on farms, gardening, and a little childcare as well. In my opinion, it is better to stay somewhere as a helpful guest than as a tourist. I like giving something back and getting in contact with locals and traditions. I really enjoy having tasks while staying in foreign countries and learning something new from the people who live there (about the country or the culture, for example).
Now I am starting to travel again and I look forward to having an adventurous time while helping my future hosts! 😊

Animals:
I grew up with different pets, especially cats and small animals like rabbits. I have also volunteered in an animal shelter and have taken care of other people’s animals (mainly dogs and cats). In addition, I have some experience with farm animals such as goats, ponies, horses, and chickens. I can take care of these animals after a short introduction.
Crafting:
I’m interested in different kinds of crafting tasks. I really like working with wood, and I have experience with bigger DIY projects at home. I am also very open to learning new things I haven’t done before.
Babysitting:
I have often looked after my sister’s children, aged 5 and 10. I enjoy the energy of children and like doing activities with them. People often tell me that I make a positive and interesting impression on their children and that they like me very much because of my charisma.
Household:
If you need help with household tasks, I can support you with laundry, dishes, cleaning the apartment and bathroom, tidying up, etc.
Gardening:
I have also helped with gardening in my grandparents’ garden — I’m not afraid to get my hands dirty (:
Overall:
All in all, I would say I am a committed person who likes to learn new things and do physical tasks.

Physical movement is a very important thing in my life. At the moment I cycle a lot but I like other sports (table tennis, volleyball etc.) as well although I‘m not a professional in these sports (;
Art:
I‘m also a very creative person that is interested in art in general. Next to creating art I like to visit exhibitions and like to learn more about the local art especially such as street art.
