Description
Hi there!
We are a German couple starting our world trip in 2026. For our travels we gave up our apartment in Düsseldorf, Germany, where we have lived for the past seven years during our studies. We studied Biology/ Environmental Sciences (Elli) and Medical Physics/ Data Science (Julius), and decided to first travel the world before settling down. We already did long-term travels back in 2017/2018, where we have spent nine months traveling across New Zealand.
We both love animals (especially cats) and exploring new places and cannot wait for what the world has in store for us! Even though Elli is the Italian here, Julius is the one who loves cooking. Together we enjoy creative DIY projects, cozy coffee afternoons or spending time outdoors.
For our next Workaway-Adventures, we hope to contribute to socially and environmentally meaningful projects to help making the world a better place. We are both happy to support in various fields, ranging from recurring household chores and gardening tasks to more specific projects such as social media and website development. Elli has been working for 2,5 years in a sustainability consultancy where she among other things supported the company's social media and website presence.

JULIUS-- Computers are my passion so that I am happy to be your personal IT-guy. If you further have any mathematical problems, I am more than happy to help ;)
I am generally a very patient and calm person so that tedious tasks won't bother me. I am happy to help with any gardening task or other tasks.
ELISABETTA-- Besides growing up with several cousins, I also worked as a babysitter for about 3 years, so that I am always happy to take care of children. During my studies, I was able to gain first professional experience as I worked for a laboratory and sustainability consulting company. In previous Workaway stays, I also supported with basic gardening tasks, etc.
During our time in New Zealand we had various jobs that taught us to become flexible in terms of new tasks: we worked at a wine factory, supported wedding planners or professional gardening companies.
We are always happy to learn new things and don't mind getting dirty working outdoors!
TASKS we have done at previous workaway-stays:
- general household support
- painting the house and the deck
- varnish the wooden window frames
- staining (window frames and a fence)
- (lots of) weeding, planting, mowing the lawns, hedge cutting, wood chopping, etc.
- small building projects
