Description
My name is Julia, and I am currently on a trip through Central and South America.
Backpacking and travelling have always been something I've prioritised in life and I hold so dear all the memories and experiences I've gathered over the years on my travels.
At home, I find joy and meaning in teaching + practicing yoga, performing, and writing.
I also love moving my body - dancing, surfing, running, pilates are all staples of my routine.
Being in and connected to nature is super important to me - hiking, camping, swimming.
I am motivated and driven by connection, adventure and learning. I would say a life well lived would be one of courage and connection :-) -

I work as a registered nurse in Australia, and work mostly in mental health nursing - although my general nursing skills have been maintained in ad hoc first aid work in my community at home :)
I have a passion for teaching/mentoring and find the parts of my job where I get to teach/pass on knowledge to be most fulfilling.
I have experience in professional writing and have spent time freelancing in copywriting/healthcare journalism.
I also work as a yoga teacher and have completed am a registered 200 hour yoga teacher.
I am re-joining workaway this year in my efforts to fill the gaps in what I would consider my practical, hands-on skills :-) -
