Johan: I like to connect with people, live together a simple life, close to nature. i like to travel, but responsibly. My favourite way of transport is a bicycle, but when i have to cross an ocean, then i will fly.
I like to create things with my hands, building, carpenting, repairs, finding a way when not everything you need is available. I also like making music, as a drummer, with my guitar, with my voice and with my laptop..

Maaike: I am kind to animals and children, like to grow plants (had an education in biodynamic farming). I like building things, together with Johan we built a wooden house (15l x 4w x 5h meter.) in our garden. That took us two wonderful years.I am handy and I am an artist. Went to art school, worked as a graphic designer and photographer for 10 years. After that I worked as a yoga teacher for 10 years full time. I also taught iceskating and aerobic dance. I was a mountain tourguide in my twenties. And a cook on big sailing ships. In my forties I learned about medicinal herbs and now I am teaching about wild foraging, medicinal plants, crafts with plants and natural dyes. I like to learn new things.
