  • Description

    Hello!

My partner Gio and I are traveling the Americas in a mini-van that we converted into a tiny-home-on-wheels, which has allowed us to quit our jobs and travel the world full-time. I am a former video game developer from Michigan and she's a former Montessori teacher from Ecuador. We left those lives behind though to see the world, learn from other people and cultures, and try to find a new way of living in which we can live in harmony with our fellow humans and the rest of our natural world.

We are very keen on learning permaculture/organic farming, eco-building, community organizing, and sustainable lifestyle practices. We've been learning a lot about these subjects from books, videos, and tours, but now we're looking to get our hands dirty and actually build some stuff! We consider ourselves to be proactive, hard-working, kind-hearted people who can pick up new skills quickly. We hope to get inspired from your project and help out however we can :)

  • More details about your skills

We learned quite a lot converting a mini-van into a camper! We built a wooden floor, a kitchenette with a sink and running water, a futon with a custom folding design, shelves, and a solar electrical system.

In terms of gardening, we've taken care of many plant-babies, and, in Gio's case as a former Montessori teacher for toddlers, lots of real babies too. Gio's father runs a banana farm in Ecuador, and she's learned basic farming principles from him.

We've been learning a lot about permaculture farming and eco-building from books, videos, and on-site tours. While we haven't had the chance to put our knowledge into practice, we are eager to do so!

  • What else ...

We're cool with animals (especially dogs and cats) and like making yummy but healthy meals from whole foods. We enjoy board games, hiking, and letting our curiosity take us down research rabbit-holes.
