Hi, nice to meet you! :) I'm Jan, a kind, open-minded, pragmatic, and curious young man.

I have many hobbies and interests that I love to learn more about and practice. I am a musician in several bands where I play multiple instruments, I studied medicinal chemistry originally, now work as a software developer, and spend a lot of my free time learning new languages, reading, and moving my body :)

I travel a lot (and want to travel much more!), where I am very independent and self-sufficient, yet I love spending time and sharing the experiences with others.

I love travelling because of the people and the ambiences/atmospheres I find, and that's why I'm very eager to try workawaying! I've seen so many amazing posts here from open-minded, interesting, and driven people, that I really want to become a part of it and trade help and companionship!

I LOVE languages! In recent years, it's grown to become one of my greatest passions. I grew up bilingual with a Danish mother and a French-Algerian father, and in recent years, I've begun learning Greek and Arabic, as well as more recently Hindi in order to prepare for a longer trip to India that I am planning. I think Workawaying can be a great way for me to combine my other great passion, travelling and meeting interesting people, with exchanging languages :)

As a musician and software/web developer, my greatest and most professional skills that I could provide would be anything related to music and help with websites, computers, technology, and so on :)

I am talented and interested in manual labor and craftsmanship as well - things such as basic carpentry, building repairs or improvements, farm labor, and so on. I don't have any formal training or experience in these areas, but I have completed, and enjoyed, several small at-home DIY projects and helped friends with renovations and so on. I am a very fast, curious, and pragmatic learner, and very good at improvising and thinking creatively! :)

What else ...

I enjoy using my body in interesting ways and am always up for things such as climbing, surfing, or playing ball or racket games. Being from Denmark, one of the flattest countries on Earth (our peak, "the Mountain of the Heavens", is ~150 meters high!), I love hiking and climbing mountains!
