I am Honoka from Tokyo in Japan!

I have just graduated from Sophia University in Japan and I decided to travel the world before I start working.

I am an open-minded person and love to talk and share experiences with people from different backgrounds.
When I was a university student, I taught Japanese to foreign students coming to Japan and we exchanged our cultures.
I love to travel, and even when I could not travel abroad due to Covid, I traveled a lot in Japan. So I can share stories about various places in Japan. Also, I have been to the U.S., Singapore, Vietnam, and Korea. Especially in the U.S., I stayed with my mother's host family since my mother studied abroad during her college years.

My hobbies are music, movies, watching sports, and I also like to cook Japanese food!

I can not wait to try local food, culture and share wonderful time with you!!

More details about my language interests
I can communicate in English but would like to improve further. I don't have many opportunities to speak English in Japan, and I am forgetting more and more every year, so I would like to remember and become more fluent. As for teaching Japanese, I have four years of teaching experience, so I can teach correct grammar and daily conversation in an easy-to-understand manner.

My skills include languages, teaching and gardening.

My native language is Japanese, and I also speak English and Korean.
I have studied English for 7 years and Korean for 1 year!

I also like teaching children as I worked as a tutor for 4 years. I taught a variety of subjects to students from elementary to high school and built a trusting relationship with them like friends.

On weekends, I help work in the garden at home. I am still inexperienced, but I love taking care of the garden.

I am also very curious and willing to try new things, so I would like to help in many other ways with my passion.

The purpose of my trip is to experience life in a foreign country. I would be very happy to spend time with a local family instead of just staying in a hotel and sightseeing.
I love to do cultural exchanges and if you are interested in Japanese language, culture, and food, I will be happy to share it with you.
