Activities i am interested in:
Cultural exchange, learning languages, getting into fashion, jamming, poetry, writing, sewing, big talks, running free on a crowded Saturday, do things and get along!
My next destination:
Denmark - from Jan 2025 View allDescription
I grew up with a broad mentality, I'm super versatile, open to talk and to adapt to your requests. I expect the same from you!
Consider my bio as a dimensional description of myself, not a categorical one! I'm fluid and adapt to the situations.
In my free time I study, meditate, write, explore places, make music, draw, make videos, run a podcast and some more things.
I'm writing my first novel; I'm building my first demo, with the intention of being published. Always looking for other artists to jam together!
I practise my Non-Violent Communication which I think is a great way to get rid of conflicts, cooperate and build peace.
I love alternative lifestyles like hitchhiking, nomadism, freeganism; and artstyles: I love dada, surrealism, punk, avant-garde.
My name is Riccardo, I'm an Italian man, with World mentality, born in 1999, which sums up to 1, like the life that we only have and I want to live to the fullest.
You need a task to be done? Here I am!
You need to share the burden of raising kids? Here I am!
You seek deep convos about existence? Here I am!
I'm especially good at talking with people and make friends.
I wish we're getting along and share memories all together!
I found this video that talks about lifetraps, it helped me a lot. (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eejsCcyZLPM&ab_channel=ChillDudeExplains)
I love living alternative lifestyles. But I also fit in traditional context.
You know, there's kind of a game here in Workaway where hosts write like «If you read my bio, I will only answer if you start your message with the word...» and they put a word. I join this funny game! If you read my bio, please write «squirrel» as your first word. I don't really mind, actually. But I really love squirrels.
Now, here we go with some of my life experience.
I quit my permanent job in Malta to live by travelling. I'm a proud nomad now. Other Italians think I'm crazy: in the Belpaese it's considered foolish to quit a permanent job! One must do accountant for 40 years in the same company! But I can't be happier, I'm living the life of my dreams, I want to live different lifestyles while I'm still on my 20s. So far I've been volunteering in Friland, in Nykøbing Sjælland at a farmer's family and in Elsegårde at Blushøjgård, and I will keep travelling as a volunteer for the rest of my life. Sometimes I'll stop to live a normal dead job life to earn money and go travelling again.
Marsala (Italy): founded and directed @Libribeo (check on Instagram). I've been the best student of my school; seriously, they awarded be with a scholarship for grades merit.
Malta: customer service and much more for the Evil Empire (no, not the USSR); entertaining children: it was a MGRM activity and has been amazing. I love working with kids, they're so funny and energetic. I keep my inner child alive, I think this is why I easily get along with them.
Friland: I have stayed one month getting along with Nikolaj, Lajla and their children. I was: plastering with clay to make cob and build an ecohouse; making and packaging organic popsicles; cutting wood with machinery; building fences and other DIY jobs; painting; catsitting; community work; entertaining children and much more.
Nykøbing Sjælland: John and Lise, a gentle and charismatic couple, hosted me for few days. I was: weeding; feeding farm animals (may them rest in peace). We agreed on me leaving earlier because I found out I can't be happy if the host kills animals. I'm very open to talk about it: I've eaten them for 18 years! And I'd rather die than eat someone again!
Blushøjgård: Lillian and Søren have hosted me for 7 months! My tasks were: cleaning, mostly flats and terraces; weeding, lawn mowing; tractor driving (but I need to be explained again); welcoming guests; various guesthouse jobs; some minimal experience with horses and ponies.
I hope you liked my bio and my strong humour! Let's keep in contact, and have a nice day!
Riccardo
