Description
We are two best friends- Gaia and Giada- and we are finally fulfilling our dream of travelling together throughout South America.
We are both self-driven, adventurous, and love to challenge ourselves and step out of our comfort zones. For this reason, we both moved abroad when we were very young to study and work.
We love meditation and consciousness, and we can't wait to make new experiences and connect with like-minded people. We adapt to new places and situations with ease and we always try to keep a positive mindset while working hard to reach our dreams.

More details about your skills
Gaia:
I am extremely motivated and passionate about cultural exchange and helping others, and I’m excited to finally begin my volunteering and travel journey, which is a dream I’ve cherished for as long as I can remember. From a young age, I’ve loved supporting and connecting with people. I’ve babysat children of all ages and tutored both primary and secondary school students, which taught me patience, empathy, and responsibility.
At 16, I took a bold step and moved to the UK to work as an au pair and improve my English. This experience helped me grow and mature, making me more independent, confident, and resilient. A few years later, I moved to Ireland as an au pair, and I’ve since moved here permanently, completing my university studies while working part-time.
Now that I’ve graduated, I’m eager to contribute to meaningful projects around the world. I’m enthusiastic about cooking, connecting with people, and sharing my skills. I have extensive customer service experience in restaurants, coffee shops, and cinemas, where I’ve developed strong communication and problem-solving abilities.
I speak three languages—Italian, English, and Spanish—which allows me to engage with people from diverse backgrounds. In my free time, I love dancing (especially salsa and bachata), practicing yoga and meditation, and trying new sports and activities.
I’m excited to bring my energy, adaptability, and caring nature to any volunteering opportunity and be a part of something impactful.
Giada:
I bring a strong set of skills in coaching, mentoring, and community engagement, developed through years of volunteering and professional experience. I’ve worked with children, teens, and adults in both educational and sports settings, using my background in martial arts, mental performance coaching, and sport psychology to help others build confidence, focus, and self-belief. I’m currently studying Sports Management and Coaching and have led peer mentoring initiatives and contributed to social impact projects through Enactus, where I developed strong leadership, communication, and project coordination skills. I also have experience in public speaking and genuinely enjoy it; whether I’m presenting in front of students, leading workshops, or sharing ideas that inspire positive change.
I’ve been working since I was 16 and have gained valuable customer service and hospitality experience in cafés, restaurants, and events, which taught me how to work under pressure, stay adaptable, and connect with people from all walks of life.
I have a deep passion for immersing myself in different cultures, learning from diverse perspectives, and building meaningful connections with local communities.
Moving from Italy to Ireland at 20 sparked this love for cultural exchange and helped shape who I am today. I speak Italian, English, and have a decent level of Spanish, which I’m excited to use and improve while traveling through South America. I also practice and share meditation as a tool for emotional awareness and personal growth. I’m looking forward to bringing energy, empathy, and a collaborative spirit to every volunteering opportunity we take on together!
