Hi I'm Frankie! I am spending this year traveling through Latin American, looking to become fluent in Spanish, meet new people, and explore new place. I am a people person through and through -- I love connecting with others, learning peoples stories, sharing my own, and building relationships with people wherever I go. I feel incredibly connected to the Earth and love spending time in nature. I just graduated from university, studying geology and environmental science -- I could spend all day by a creek or in the forest. I also love to read, garden, play music (I sing and play guitar!), cook, tell stories, and dance. I feel motivated through connection -- to the Earth, to other people, through music and art! I'm naturally curious and a fast learner, always eager to learn new skills! I am upbeat, goofy, and very friendly. I can talk to anyone! I always approach challenging work with a positive attitude.

I am hoping to improve my Spanish, meet new people, and gain new experiences/learn new skills. I love to travel! I have done solo traveling in Costa Rica, Mexico, and Guatemala, I have camped in Alaska while working in outdoor education, I have road tripped around the US, and worked on multiple farms and helped people with their gardens. I have a fair amount of permaculture experience and I'm always looking for ways to learn more!

I have lived in many communal houses with shared cooking and cleaning duties, shared meals, and a strong community atmosphere. I really value this type of communal life and love meeting new people, playing music together, cooking together, laughing, dancing :) However, I'm also a very independent person and thrive on time alone, especially in nature, so I can handle solitude as well!

I have worked on a handful of different farms so I have some basic agricultural and landscaping skills, and would love to learn more! I worked on one farm for 4 months and did a lot of transplanting to clear the land a eventually created a wildflower meadow. I also tended to garden beds, pruned tomato plants, put in fences, cooked and cleaned, kept up trails, among other things. Another farm I worked on I did similar work, and also cared for chickens. I'm studying earth and environmental science and I love to share my knowledge about the outdoors -- I have worked as an outdoor educator with kids, but I can talk anyone's ear off about rocks, plants, how the earth has changed over time, etc. As far as creative skills go, I can sing and play the guitar, do pottery on the wheel, drawing, and can read music. I'm great with kids as well! I can cook and clean, and I always love to learn new recipes. I have worked many customer service jobs, so I have excellent hospitality skills and I'm great with people! Most importantly, I'm a quick learner and a hard worker -- I love to learn new skills and gain new experiences!
