  • Description

    Hi,
we are Tammes and Falco. We met each other here in New Zealand, bought a car together and are now travelling this country together for the next 7 months.
    Falco:
I am very passionate about sports. I‘ve been playing volleyball in Germany, I skateboard, started surfing in New Zealand and I love winter sports. But I am open for every Sport out there.
On the other side I‘m very interested in History ( particularly 19th/20th Century), technology (espescially aviation) and biology. I also enjoy playing computer games.

    Tammes:
My interests lean more towards travelling in general and getting to know new things,
including to travel to Japan one day and even learning the language.
Hobbies of mine are reading, watching movies and I used to play table tennis in Germany.
In my free time, i appreciate playing computer games too.
I also like history (mostly industrilization, world war 2, but also ancient rome) and social sciences in general.

    Falco:
    I would say I am sporty. ;)
I have a good technical understanding and a quick comprehension.
At home I really like to cook for myself. (of course I still need to get used to NZ supermarkets :))
Because my mum got me to clean the house every week with her you could say I can clean and take care of the house.

But of course I also gained some skills and experience thru the jobs I had in Germany.
I worked at a supermarket for two years, were I operated the electrical pallet truck, worked as a cashier and I filled up the shelves.

After that I gained lots of crafting skills at my job for a ortopedic shoemaker. I had to help out at many different tasks and create custom made insoles for each customer.

For the last 6 months before my journey to New Zealand I worked at a gardening place. I ran the store selling plants and vegetables and took care of all the flowers and plants. I also operated the tractor for many tasks.

    Tammes:

My skills are part of multiple fields:

Because of taking an interest in multiple social sciences in school, I am skilled at discussions , expressing my opinion and trying to find a middle ground with others.
This also includes historical knowledge from my history courses.

Although i don‘t know much anymore, I also took latin courses for 5 and italian courses for 4 years.

I like to do gardening with my mom at home or cooking for myself and tried myself mostly at asian and italian dishes.
Because of being alone at home for multiple weeks sometimes, i know how to take care of a house.

My technical understanding is average I‘d say: I know microsoft office and have a basic understanding of PC‘s, phones, etc.

In Germany, working at the factory two times (two weeks each), helped me gain an understanding of hard work and working long hours.
I worked in the production assistance and order picking departments.
We‘ve also worked at a Kiwifarm in NewZealand which helped me gain experience in the agricultural area.
