Dear hosts and workawayers, welcome to my profile!

I come from Turkey and have been living in Poznań, Poland for the past two years. I'm an English linguistics major and it's my final year at university. I made the best decision of my life when I decided to go abroad in summer 2022 🌍. It changed my life and I believe I'm a different person now. I'm seeking to learn from people who have walked different paths in life. I aspire to pursue a career in language education or the tourism sector, where I can share my passion for languages and cultures.

I started using Couchsurfing two years ago and have had around 50 experiences in more than 20 countries. All those were truly positive and memorable experiences that I couldn't have had otherwise. I’m now eager to explore long-term opportunities through Workaway. I did an Erasmus exchange for a semester in Vienna, and Workaway gave me the chance to immerse myself in the local way of life. I don't have any classes this semester, so I'd like to use my time doing something meaningful like traveling and volunteering😊


My dad's been a Workaway host for two years and we've had many volunteers on our farm in Western Turkey. I stay there every summer to help my family and learn more about gardening, farming, and animal care. We believe in responsible farming practices that nurture the environment while providing organic produce. We are home to a variety of animals, including cats 🐈, goats 🐐, chickens 🐔, and geese 🪿. There are many different kinds of crops growing in our fields, such as tomatoes 🍅, peppers 🌶, watermelons 🍉, strawberries 🍓, and much more. I’m excited about the idea of volunteering on an organic farm like ours in the future, where I can not only learn from my hosts, but also share my own knowledge and experiences. I believe it would be wonderful to exchange our skills and ideas, contributing to sustainable farming.

I study English Linguistics at university and am highly enthusiastic about languages. My native language is Turkish, and I speak English fluently. I am capable of teaching both of these languages. I'm well versed in the phonetics and phonology of English, so I can help others sound more natural and native-like when speaking English. I am currently learning German (borderline conversational) and Polish (beginner) and am eager to improve my proficiency in both. I'm planning to travel South America for a year upon getting my degree next July hopefully, so I'll start learning Spanish soon.

As a linguistics major, I’m happy to help others enhance their language skills. I specialize in the standard American accent and would love to assist you in refining your pronunciation🗣 so that you can sound more natural and native-like when speaking English.

I spend every summer on our family farm in Turkey, where I've gained extensive experience in gardening, farming, and animal care. I'm proficient in tasks like planting🌱, hoeing, and driving a tractor🚜. I also have hands-on experience caring for goats🐐 and sheep🐑, including milking and herding them. I've taken care of numerous cats🐱 and dogs🐶, both on the farm and at home, so I'm well-versed in looking after pets.

As an avid traveler, I’ve used Couchsurfing around 50 times in more than 20 countries. If you're not familiar with it and would like to give it a try, I can share some practical tips and help you get started 😊

And of course, I’m always happy to lend a hand with housework, such as cooking🍳, cleaning🧹, washing dishes🧽, doing laundry, and so on. I'd be especially glad to make some traditional dishes from my country for you.

I'm a big fan of board games and card games🃏🎲, such as Catan, Carcassonne, Ticket to Ride, Power Grid, Alhambra, Space Base, Splendor, Dixit, Wavelength, Coup, Cabo, etc.

I can teach the fundamentals of chess♟️. Although I'm not very good at it, I can share the essential principles and concepts to help you get started.

I’m enthusiastic about basketball🏀, tennis🎾, and table tennis🏓, and I like imparting my knowledge to others.

I absolutely love playing pool (aka billiards)🎱. It's one of my favorite past times. I'd be happy to teach anyone who wants to learn it.

I started indoor climbing 🧗some time ago and am familiar with bouldering and top roping to some degree. I'm eager to practice with others and improve.
