I am a quiet, friendly, trustworthy woman from the Netherlands.
I had wonderful experiences with Workaway in many countries like Vietnam, Nepal, Bulgaria, Bosnia, Spain. I have been teaching, helped in the field, in eco-projects, helped with cooking, cleaning, painting, whatever needs to be done and is within my capabilities. My main reason to travel is to meet people and learn about local cultures and practices. I am open-minded, cheerful, healthy and have a good condition.
My interests are very diverse, I love music (I play the accordion and sing in a world music group i.e. klezmer), dance, do sports and I like local history, art, spirituality etc
I am curious and am always looking how I can develop myself personally.
I am also a lover of languages, apart from my native Dutch I am fluent in English and German, have good knowledge of French, a bit of Italian and very basic Spanish.

I have English language teaching, managerial/ business, organisational and computer (office automation) skills.
My main job in my working career has been as a company (legal) secretary in an international firm, but I have also worked as English teacher and tutored individual students.
Now, I am a certified laughter yoga leader😄😂 and tourist guide in my home town.
Besides that, I have many skills needed to run a household as a mother, cleaning, babysitting, cooking, shopping etc.
Other things that I like and can do: guide groups, help or coach other people, make fun with music (I can play the accordion and a bit guitar), sing and dance.

We had a great experience with Dorien staying at us! She was open, easy going and found her place here. Even though we just moved in and everything was pretty chaotic still, she fit into the environment and brought more diversity to our group. The kitchen has never been so clean since :) Thank you!
