  • Description

Hi there! We’re Dana and James – a couple from the U.S. with a love for the outdoors, new experiences, and meeting people from all walks of life.

We’re easygoing, respectful, and always happy to lend a hand. Whether it’s helping with gardening, cooking simple meals, tidying up, or just being an extra set of hands for whatever’s needed. We’re always up for learning and giving our best.

We both love hiking and being outside, and we’re using Workaway as a way to travel more mindfully, connect with locals, and be part of the places we visit. For us, it’s not just about seeing new places—it’s about sharing stories, learning new skills, and getting involved in meaningful ways.

By the end of September 2025, we have hopefully been able to complete the 2,200 mile Appalachian trail hiking from Georgia to Maine, USA. Instead of going back to our careers as a teacher and engineer, we have decided to travel and see more of the world. We are looking for hosts that would be able to accomodate both of us and in exchange we would love to help out with your projects!

If you’re looking for a down-to-earth couple who’s open-minded, reliable, and happy to pitch in wherever needed, we’d love to connect!

  • More details about your skills

I am a recent graduate. I studied education and have experience working with children as a volunteer at development centers as well as a summer camp counselor. During those jobs, I learned how to get creative and organized to be able to manage many things and children at once. I love arts and crafts, can read music at a basic level and absolutely love learning about different cultures and the outdoors. I speak Cebuano and have been in the US for a while. Would love to visit and experience different cultures!
