  • Description

I'm a passionate traveler seeking meaningful cultural exchanges through immersive, hands-on experiences. I have traveled to 9 different countries so far through study abroad, working as an au pair, and backpacking with a eurail pass. I have a genuine thirst for knowledge, wanting to absorb as much as I can from every interaction. Traveling has been so rewarding in quenching that thirst, and I hope to continue learning from people and experiences through WorkAway! Additionally, serving local communities in a productive way brings me immense joy, and the opportunities to do so through WorkAway seem endless.

More details about my language interests
I befriended a group of Italians during my time in London, some of whom had a basic foundation of English that I helped become advanced by the end of the summer. Although I have no concrete language teaching experience, I am very interested in sharing my knowledge of English with those who are wanting to learn. My patience and relaxed approach make me an excellent tutor!

  • What else ...

I have a bachelor's degree in Psychology, which taught me how to use psychology as a tool for forming and improving relationships, which I feel is an asset to being a workawayer, as it requires an acute sensitivity in working intimately with people and in their homes. Clear and honest communication with the hosts I work for is extremely important to me, as well as mutual respect and understanding of boundaries. Always feel free to ask me any questions or voice any concerns you may have, as I will do the same!

I've always been a creative person; I love ceramics, watercolor painting, cooking and baking, collaging/scrapbooking, creating tablescapes for holidays/get-togethers, and am passionate about interior design and decorating. I worked as an art instructor for a summer camp and taught watercolor workshops. I'm also extremely organized and efficient, having years of professional organizing experience as well as through my own personal projects. I would love to help you organize your space if that's something you're interested in!

I also love being outside, even when the weather's not the best, and often jog or take long walks. Yoga, strength training, and pickleball are other ways I enjoy being active. I am a huge fan of puzzles (jigsaw and crosswords), as well as thrifting, reading, traveling of course, and spending time with interesting, curious, receptive, open, warm, funny people.
