Hello!
My name is Claudia, I'm from Spain and I am Chemistry teacher, currently living in the Canary Islands (Spain). All together there are 8 islands and I live in Tenerife, which is one of the biggest. Despite being a small island, there are many interesting things to do here because of the different microclimates it has due to altitude. It is an incredible place to live in!
I am a very positive person and I am always on the look to travel to new places and meeting new people. I lived 4 years in Miami, teaching Chemistry there. I also lived one year in Boulder, Colorado and when covid hit, I came back to Europe, stopping in London for 6 months before returning to the Canary Islands.
Because I am a teacher and we do get long holiday periods, every time I have a chance I travel. When doing so, what I like the most is actually getting to know the people and the traditions. I have travelled all around the US, hiking in 42 National Parks there, Canada, South America, Reunion Island and the farthest away from home that I have ever been is Australia last summer which I experienced Workaway for the first time and loved it!
My passions are teaching, hiking, reading, going to the beach and Science, especially everything related to Space Exploration. I always try to attend science conferences and events, even rockets launches! A am officially a nerd!
Anyway, I opened this account because I am interested in traveling and getting to know new places, new people, and live new experiences!Interests

What else ...
One of the things I have learned though my life is the importance to ADAPT and learn.
I think the most powerful thing we can do to grow personally is leaving our comfort zones to embrace new ways of doing things. It is in these situations when we can get creative and find new ways of problem solving and experience life in a different way! Some more information
