When was the last time you felt alive?

I'm Chiara, and I dedicate my time encouraging others to ponder on the question above. My work consists in studying and investigating the science of creativity and well-being; I aim at building a world championing play, wonder and imagination. I pour my knowledge into content creation, Substack articles and run creative workshops on flow, the creative process and more.

Aside from it, I'm a photographer and documentary filmmaker. I've recently launched my start-up, Lumino, a web platform aimed at helping people reclaim their attention by reawakening their creativity.

I'm someone who strives to always be in touch with her creative energy and is looking for other people who embrace and nurture their creator side (and those who wish to reconnect with it!). Engaging deeply with the world and others is one of my defining traits – I value curiosity, exploration and asking "what ifs" questions! :)

I'm travelling as a Workawayer because I'm interested in exploring local realities, learning about different perspectives and the multitude of human stories that exist. My aim is to help in art residencies, learn about sustainable ways of living and contributing to social causes.

I'm originally from Italy, but have lived in the UK for +5 years. I'm thus adaptable and I feel energised from connecting with people from all over the world! :)

– Experience in professional event photography + street photography;
– Extensive experience in content creation – professional video-making, professional video editing, video storytelling, social media strategy, graphic design (i.e. flyers, brochures, digital design, social media carousels and posts);
– Experience in documentary filmmaking – I have engaged in several documentaries from interviewing, all the way to construct a story to editing and social media assets. Have recently wrapped up a documentary exploring how creativity and creative expression can change someone's life for the better;
– Experience in social entrepreneurship – have developed, tested and launched my own start-up. I've developed grit, resilience, inner motivation and ability to take initiative and make things happen.
– Experience in planning and delivering workshops on creativity, the creative process, journalling, the power of boredom and more. I've developed strong facilitation skills and ability to build in-person experiences that are both educational and memorable.

The common thread in all the experience I have is my willingness to learn and to make things happen even if I may not know all the answers in advance! I'm passionate about bringing ideas to life, and summoning up all the grit and proactivity needed to turn them into reality.

I'm also available for other jobs, such as garden maintenance, DIY projects, house maintenance (such as painting), and helping with house chores (i.e. vacuuming, doing the laundry, etc.). I'm also passionate about cooking and sharing my creations with others.

What else ...

I love having meaningful, rich conversations with others – I'm curious to dive into someone else's story, why they perceive the world the way they do and how their experiences have shaped them.

I always ask those I engage in conversation with these two questions: "what is home for you" and "what are you most afraid of".

It's an honour to witness the humanity and vulnerability that those two questions bring out in others, and I'm always grateful for those who share their answers with me.

Other than that, my hobbies include: reggaeton and salsa dancing, singing, reading books on psychology, sketching and journalling.
