Hi there!

My name is Catherine, I'm excited to get volunteering! A bit about me: I'm currently a university student in Australia who loves animals, baking and have recently found out how much I love to travel. Seeing beautiful landscapes of nature, meeting wonderful people around the world and experiencing such diverse cultures and food is so exciting and I can't wait to travel more!

I'm a kind, friendly and respectful person who loves to use my hands. Whether it's making art, upcycling clothes or doing some small gardening, I love to immerse myself in all the activities I do and feel a sense of achievement helping complete projects. I would love to learn about how everyday living differs around the world, especially how different places and people live sustainably.

I love all animals, though I may be biased because I love my dog the most haha. I like to take my dog on long walks at the park, beach and sometimes hiking! Exploring nature and new places with pets is always so fun, and I would love to meet you pets!

With 2+ years of hospitality experience and project management, I believe I am able to quickly adapt to various environments and needs. In my most recent work at a much-loved restaurant, I managed the booking systems, orders and provided friendly and reliable customer service. I work well under pressure and in a team together to fulfil our goals. I value communication and organisation, believing a well organised and open working environment is the best way to complete activities. I have also been a part of a recycling team, helping with projects around plastic recycling and design. I pride myself in refining and improvement, also looking to learn and improve myself and my skills.

I love to bake, and have made some pretty interesting cakes and desserts in the past. I also love swimming and bike riding. In my spare time, sometimes I upcycle my old clothes into new clothes, or even stuffed toys!
