Description

We are an adventurous couple seeking out meaningful experiences while traveling in Australia! We typically live and work in Alaska during the summer months, where we engage in outdoor education and tourism and enjoy fishing in our free time. The past two winters, our passion for rock climbing has inspired us to embark upon extensive road trips around the US, visiting friends and family in over 10 different states along the way! Their generosity has solidified our love for experiencing new places through the eyes of people who live there. As guests, we love to help cook and clean, share stories, go on walks, take local food recommendations, and help out where we can around the house. As we seek workaway opportunities near the Gold Coast for the month of February, we would like to extend ourselves further and intentionally utilize our handy skills, stamina for working outdoors, and great attitudes. Liv has experience working on farms in California and studying agroecology in Thailand, so she would be very excited to help steward a family farm! And with a background in education and working at summer camps, Caleb would be excited to be on a family farm where he could help entertain the kids by playing sports or helping around the house. In our free time, we would be eager to swim, surf, and go see live music. In general, we would be very excited and grateful for the opportunity to learn so closely from gracious Australian hosts while being both helpful and respectful guests.
