Description
I will be travelling to Guatemala in the first week of March for 2 months with my cousin (and soul sister,) Kaitlyn and we're looking for a work experience for March. We are drawn to communities that value connection to nature, self, and to each other, as well as intentional living especially through farming, meditation and adventure. Kaitlyn's profile is linked to mine, but here's a little about me:
Hi:) I'm Bre from Manitoba, Canada! Any spare moment I get, I'm outside exploring in some way whether thats swimming, camping, chasing the Northern Lights, or heading out on multi day hiking and canoeing trips. I love simple, sustainable ways of living and feel most grounded in nature. I am deeply inspired by the lessons nature offers, especially resilience, patience, and balance.
I've spent much of my life as a solo adventurer, and while that's been fulfilling, lately I've been craving something more rooted that offers deeper community and connection. I'm drawn towards experiences where I can learn new skills, have language exchange and truly feel part of a community.
One day, I hope to build a life closely connected with the land . I would love a small farm where I can grow food, care for animals, and be part of a strong supportive community. I've wanted to try a work exchange for many years, and I see these experiences as a way to begin learning those skills slowly and intentionally. I'm excited to grow through each experience and let every place I visit shape that vision.
For the past 6 years, I've worked as a Paramedic caring for people in rural and remote communities. That experience has shaped how I show up in the world, with adaptability and compassion, and it's also taught me the importance of taking intentional breaks to reset.
Some of my goals:
-🏔️hike the 2,653 mile long Pacific Crest Trail from Mexico to Canada
- 🧗♀️get better at rock climbibg
- 🏃🏻♀️run a half marathon this year
- 🛶pack-rafting trips
- speak Spanish fluently!
