Hi, I am Bugrahan,
I’m a PhD student in Georgia Institute of Technology, Atlanta studying Public Policy with focus of Information and Communications Technologies. I live in the US for past two years and have been serving as Teaching Assistant in my university.
Before my PhD, I worked professionally in think-tanks and NGOs, and later managed our family café in Bursa, Türkiye. I helped build the café from the ground up with my mother, doing everything from basic construction and gardening to daily service and management. In my professional works: In Istanbul, as training coordinator, I trained numerous university students for teaching children basics of coding; did International Relations relevant political event organizations and academic text editing; In Ankara I was organizing and moderating roundtable meetings with policy experts and preparing reports.
I also have lots of international exchange experiences through Erasmus+ and AIESEC programs.
I enjoy playing music, making abstract digital arts, camping, deep conversations, and exploring cultures and experiences.

What else ...
Additionally we have 12 cats in our cafe, they were once strays but settled in our place as we were taking care of them. In the US I have been gathering graduate students from different departments organizing home events (cooking, game nights, parties) as act of community building. I enjoy story based and strategy videogames. In addition to my general creative works I’ve also been creating a fictional mini-verse within ChatGPT.
I am planning to partake in workaway activities along with my girlfriend who lives in Germany.
