Hi! I'm Avery, I'm 26 years old and from New Hampshire, US. I was a preschool teacher for 3 years until last year I decided to take the leap and focus on traveling and living a more unstructured life. I have always wanted to see more of the world and connect with people of different cultures. I know there is so many wonderful experiences and lessons to learn that I haven't been exposed to yet.

Over the summer I spent two months volunteering at an organic sustainable farm/brewery on an model eco island in Denmark. I loved the simple and intentional ways they lived, constantly being in nature and living with a close knit group. I would love to continue to learn about self-sustainability and how different communities interact with each other and their surroundings.

I have worked with children in different capacities for years, as a camp counselor, nanny, infant care assistant and preschool teacher. I have certifications and completed courses and trainings in Early Education. In my own classroom I focused on play based learning and independent and social/emotional skills. I've worked with young children with developmental delays and ones who've experienced trauma, so I have learned ways to communicate and support a child who may not fully understand me.

I have also worked in customer service, retail, and tourism, where I have developed my communication skills with both coworkers and the people I'm serving. I strive to create a friendly and welcoming environment for everyone.
