Hello! My name is Ava. The things that give me the most joy in this world are nature, travel, social justice and knowledge. I am driven by my desire to learn, listen, and teach. I’m very passionate about sustainability and healing our earth. I believe the closer we live to nature the happier and healthier we will be both physically and mentally. I want to learn more about cultivating food and living outside of consumerism/technology. I love gardening, animals, camping, kayaking, cooking, sewing, art, photography, philosophy… I could go on. I’m a very hard worker and find a lot of purpose in hands on labor. I work hard, efficient, fast and want to apply in a way that makes the world better, not profit. I also get a lot of joy out of learning. There is so much for me to learn in these programs, through both people and experiences!

I have many traits that make me a good fit for you!
The first asset is my work ethic and being self driven. I find purpose in work and have worked since 13. Since I wasn’t old enough to be hired I would do yard work, landscaping, baby sitting, pet sitting, and house cleaning. I set up and organized the jobs myself. I have maintained 1-3 jobs since then and have thrived in varied work environments because I am always looking to stay busy and productive.
I was raised by a single father of three girls who needed a lot of help around the house. I have been cooking meals, cleaning the house, and organizing since I was very young. I also have experience in basic construction, repairing vehicles, repairing phones, camping, kayaking, gardening, raising chickens, using a variety of hand and power tools, cutting wood, fishing, photography, landscaping, chicken raising, animal care, and fishing.
I have worked in many different places. I currently work at UPS, a job that is fast paced and self directed. It includes lifting heavy boxes in hot trailers for extended periods of time. I'm very comfortable with heavy lifting and hot working environments. I also work landscaping so I am familiar with outdoor tools and have tackled quite a few different outdoor projects. Professional cleaning is on the list of relevant jobs as well. Outside of my personal enjoyment of cleaning, I have worked with a professional cleaning company which helped me improve the speed and depth that I clean. Long story short, I can work efficiently in the house, the yard, the barn, or wherever I am needed.
The last trait is my adaptability and love for learning. In my world, adaption is a response to learning. I am always looking to learn new approaches, expand my perspective, and obtain knowledge. This makes me very open to new things and cultivates a positive reaction to change. My adaptability and willingness to learn makes me fit for any any task set in front of me.

What else ...
I want to make the world better and myself better at the same time. This is my current answer to making that happen. I adore being outside, hiking, meditating, being active, anything to do with animals, watching nature, growing food, being bare foot, really anything that involves connecting with, and healing, the earth. I love the idea of being off grid and cultivating food. I believe trees are sentient and animals are our equals. I enjoy all types of art and am a very creative person. I also enjoying discussing consciousness, human psychology, morality, quantum physics, space, and things that make you go hm. I am passionate about social justice and am actively part of mutual aid group. I think this has similar principles. Everyone has something to offer and it’s important to experience different ways of life. This program is a great way to meet people, make new experiences, while making the world and myself better.
