Hello there!
I'm Alexandra, 34, and I currently live in my hometown, Cluj-Napoca, the heart of Transylvania, Romania.
I'm a free spirit, in love with life, nature, music and art, who loves to wander around and meet new people.
I'm curios about all that life has to offer, learning new skills and trades, and I'm currently enjoying a year of easygoing travelling and reconnecting with myself.
I enjoy nature walks and hiking, reading, painting and listening and dancing to funky jazz music, but also the magic of quiet moments.
I would describe myself as a cheerful, soulful person, who enjoys talking and connecting with people from all walks of life.
I'm new to this platform, but I'm familiar with volunteer work and au pair, having spent time abroad with student projects and being involved in various events and festivals back home.
I'm also an experienced solo traveler, spending each year at least a month travelling across Europe.

Short version:

A bit about my background:
I've learned German and English in my early education which includes humanistic studies, followed by a journalism degree where I focused on cultural events and contemporary art. I've also studied piano and music theory for 8 years.
During my uni years I was involved in a variety of cultural events and projects, like local and international film, music and arts festivals, and spent time abroad with student volunteer projects. I've also worked as a project and volunteer coordinator for some local cultural events.
Some fun times included tutoring kids in German and English, working as a kindergarten teacher, and working as a ski instructor in kids winter camps, I also spent a summer working in a kids camp in Greece.
I spent a year living on my own in Germany, after a couple of months of au pair.
The past years I've been working in corporate finance, and I am currently taking some time off to travel and enjoy various new experiences, while I also manage a small family owned cabin in the Transylvanian Alps, where we have guests over the summer.

I love cooking! Currently I'm trying out some Mediterranean style dishes, I love being creative in the kitchen and add my personal touch to recipes, and I'm always looking to learn new ways of making the most colorful, fresh and easy dishes.
