Hey! I’m Ariana from Barcelona and during my free time I love travelling. When I’m home, I love doing lots of different crafts thinks such painting, crochetting, cooking, restoring furniture… I also love animals so I spend a lot of time with my cats (or taking my uncle’s dogs out).

I’m joining workaway because I want to learn first hand other abilities while helping others and experiencing different ways of living. I'm specially interested in learning about permaculture, cusine from other cultures and ecological building projects.

I’m a very crafty person. Every time I want to learn something new I just go to youtube and teach myself. When I like something I like to go all out!

I also love doing sports so I consider myself an active person. I don’t mind doing hard work, in fact I enjoy it.

Finally, I like meeting new people and getting about them and their lifestyles.

What can we say other than: ARI-CAN!!! (YEP, this girl can do ANYTHING!)

Ari was our 5. and final workawayer in 2024, and stayed here for 10 ( too short!) days in mid September.

We had a lot of small hangs from the summer and a lot of things that needed to be finished, before we hit of, on our fall trip to Marocco in October. Ari was… read more game on. She finished our bench to perfection- is very handy when it comes to furnitures! Made the new strawberry plants ( they are now out in the garden and growing happily;-), weeding, getting the oniones ready for the winter, doing some sewing/redesigning on Nynnes dresses, that needed a "pro hand", fixed the coffee machine w Soren and a lot of other things, that just needed to be finished around here. Cooked great meals and learned us a lot about her/ generel life in Spain. We tried to share what we like, so Soren took her into town to see Danish design and Nynne took her to her basketmaking class. She was very greatfull for anything we did for her and let us know severel times!
Ari is a very flexibel person who took whatever was comming. At an old farm like this,things can change very quickly! So its always nice when people are able to adjust quickly. That was not a problem w this fine young woman! So if thats what you are looking for, look no further. This is the golden girl!
Ari is like Pippi Longstocking... " I`ve never tried that before, so I`m sure I can do it"! NICE!

Ari brought sunshine and laughter to our farm and into our lifes. It was such a wonderful and easy experience to have her around here at our farm.
We enjoyed her warm heart and wit, her easy-going way of being and her respectful authentic personality. It was very natural to live with her somehow, meaning that it was easy to connect and exchange one evening-and to find personal space to do nothing the next evening. Ari is very balanced smart and clever and you will feel her cool good spirits and passion for quality food , design and music -even from a distance. She`s almost vibrating!
So THANK YOU so very much Ari, you little sweet spanish seniorita for all the good talks and funny moments= memories! We miss you deeply on so many levels.

You are now a family member and we are so much looking forward to be welcomming you back August 2025!

The pantie song is FOREVER one of Nynnes favorite songs- on the playlist ALWAYS! It puts a smile on her face and makes her think of you and dance like crazy here in the kitchen!

This has been my first WA experience, and has far exceeded the expectations! I was looking for a place in the countryside in Denmark, because it is a country I really love, aiming to learn about growing a garden and having a hygge slow life kind of style… and this is exactly what I got. I’ve been there for 10 days but I felt like home from the… read more very beginning.

Nynne is such a heartwarming and cheerful person, she is always smiling and trying to make your stay as comfortable as possible. She picked me up at the airport and made pasta with her special tomato sauce, from that moment I knew I was in the perfect place. From her I learned a lot about gardening, some amazing recipes aaaaand basketmaking! That was such a wonderful present from her that I really appreciate. She knew I was very interested in that so she brought me to her classes and I made my first basket by myself. Thanks again Nynne! She is a super easy going person, always saying “take it eeeeaasy, no stress Ari” and being very thankful for any task I did.

Soren.. how to describe him.. he's such a show man! He is always making jokes, offering wine or looking for new designed furniture. I had a lot of fun and great times with him, being the peak when we finally made the coffee machine work! Because I am very interested in furniture, he once took me to his store in Aalborg and gave me a tour. I really enjoyed the morning scrolling down the internet looking for bargains (don’t tell Nynne!) and learning about Danish design. He’s a very attentive man: he was always there when I needed assistance flipping the omelette or when it was pouring rain and the recipe required some carrots from the garden.

The place itself is amazing: surrounded by nature, you can go for a walk into the woods, take the bike, just chill in the hammock… time flies there. I must do a special mention to their cats, which really filled the gap when I was missing mine. They are the friendliest cats ever, especially Moens, who has been my teddy bear while chilling on the sofa.

The work itself is very easy and fun, each day you have a different task and they will try to give you tasks you are comfortable with. I really enjoyed working out in the garden preparing the baby strawberries, chilling in the greenhouse peeling garlics or working on that bench sanding it until it shined. Everyday ended up around the table after dinner, chatting about life, laughing and getting to know each other deeper. I love their lifestyle and their will to get to know people from all over the world, opening their house and hearts and making me feel like part of the family.

Soren and Nynne, thank you SO MUCH for this amazing experience. I feel so grateful to have a new family in Denmark and see you soon! Hopefully very soon.
