Description
Hi everyone,
My name is Anneka and I am a nineteen year old solo traveller, and I am setting off for my first solo travel adventure abroad. I would love to volunteer as a farmhand, animal sitter, or provide help towards a sustainable project. While I am an experienced traveller with friends and family, this is my first time doing it independently, and I am excited to grow, learn, and share my journey.
I am very adventerous, hardworking, outgoing, and love meeting new people. I have recently completed my a level qualifications, and want to spend my gap year in Canada learning new skills, share stories with people, and appreciating the beauty of nature.
I am resilient, passionate, and will never say no to a challenge no matter how difficult it seems, always giving it my best effort. I can offer skills such as animal care, cleaning, tidying, and organising, creative writing, teaching English, and I would love the opportunity to refresh my riding skills and get back into working with horses. I will always arrive with a positive attitude and a willing-less to learn new tasks. I am comfortable with both indoor and outdoor work, keeping busy, and do not mind my hands getting a little dirty.
I look forward to getting to know you, and thank you for taking the time to read my profile!
Please send me a message if you feel I am the right fit for your role :)

More details about your skills
As a student, I have completed both my GCSE's and my A-Level qualifications. For my GCSE's, alongside the mandatory English, Maths and Science, I decided to expand my knowledge in areas such as History, French, Media Studies, and Business Studies. In addition to this, I have recently decided to begin teaching myself German. I particularly enjoyed History, because I take pleasure in learning about various parts of the world and how they have become what they are now.
I continued my education at the same school by getting into sixth form, and chose to study psychology, criminology and law due to my increasing interest in the legal system and how society and biology have a joint impact on an individual's behaviour.
In terms of occupation, I have been working part time at various differnt companies since the age of sixteen. My first ever job consisted of mucking out, tacking up, and riding horses at my local stables. I took this job due to my love of horses and animals in general, and despite my lack of riding since the age of sixteen, I would love to get involved in this type of work again. Since then, I have worked in retail, and currently work in hospitality. These fields have provided me with skills such as precision, patience, social skills, a hardworking attitude, resilience, teamwork, and time mangement. This experience also allowed me to gain qualifications in areas such as CPR and positive behaviour management.
In the past, I have enjoyed completing a number of charity walks, the longest being thirty kilometres. I particualry enjoyed the scenic views and the sense of achievement that my family and I felt once we had completed this walk. As well as this, we managed to raise more than five hundred pounds across all the walks we have done. Also, I used to take part in army cadets. This activity allowed me to improve my commnication skills, meet new people, expand my knowledge of the army, and gain unusual qualifications such as a rifle qualification.
