Description

Hi! I’m Anjo, 22 years young and planning to travel across Africa for several months, starting in Morocco and then flying down to South Africa – without a return ticket.

I was born and raised in Berlin, Germany, and just finished my bachelor’s degree in Business Administration. I love adventure, discovering new places, and learning more about different cultures. I’ve already lived in Buenos Aires, Argentina for six months and traveled quite a bit through South and Central America. The African continent has always fascinated me, and I knew for a long time that this trip had to be here.

I’m all about exploring new places, meeting amazing people, and giving back where I can. I’m passionate about working on meaningful projects, learning from others, and sharing my own skills. For me, volunteering is a way to push myself out of my comfort zone, grow personally, and make a real impact.

What excites me most about Workaway is the chance to connect with different cultures and contribute to projects that focus on sustainability, community, or just making life a little better. I’m always up for a challenge, love being outdoors, and thrive in environments where I can stay active and get involved in hands-on work. Whether it’s helping on a farm, working with kids, or supporting local initiatives, I’m ready to bring my energy and enthusiasm.

1. Outdoor Sports & Physical Tasks: I love outdoor activities and am passionate about sports of all kinds. I’ve hiked, camped, and I’m always happy to help with physical tasks – no matter how exhausting. I thrive in active environments and enjoy staying busy.
2. Gardening & Farm Work: I have a strong interest in nature and the environment. Growing up, I often helped my parents in their garden, so I’m not afraid to get my hands dirty and I’m eager to learn more about sustainable farming.
3. Gastronomy & Hospitality: I’ve worked in a café, gaining experience in customer service and the fast-paced environment of hospitality. I’m comfortable handling orders, serving guests, and maintaining a friendly atmosphere.
4. Digital Skills & Business: I’ve got experience in online marketing and running a business, so I can help with budgeting or making smart decisions that keep the project profitable while staying true to its sustainable or charitable values. Additionally, I have skills in video recording and editing, which can be useful for creating promotional content or documenting events.
5. Languages & Cultural Adaptability: I’m fluent in German, English, and speak decent Spanish, having lived in Argentina for a while. I adapt quickly to new environments and can communicate easily with people from various backgrounds.
6. Childcare: I’m patient and great with kids. I’ve looked after children before and I’d love to contribute to any childcare-related tasks.
7. Adaptability & Enthusiasm: I’m open-minded and quick to pick up new skills. I’m happy to jump into any task, whether it’s construction, cleaning, or guest assistance.
