Hello!
My name is Angela, but most people call me Angie. I’m 59 and have been a primary teacher for around 30 years. I’ve worked in England and Spain and for the last 16 years I have been living and working in Germany with my German partner Peter.
I have always loved to travel and over the years I have visited many countries. I have only ever (as yet) done one workaway in Galicia, where I stayed for three weeks and did general handy work (cleaning, decorating a kitchen) and gardening (you can read my hosts review). I found it to be a really positive experience and am open for more!
Traveling and languages are a huge part of my life, so it seemed the right time to join Workaway!
I’m fit and active, hard working , organized and a quick learner. Whilst I can’t claim to be an expert in anything, I am willing to give most things a try and can clean, cook, garden, paint, help with children and language learning (I do have lots of experience with these two!). I grew up on a farm and am therefore used to taking care of, and being around animals, especially horses, dogs and cats. Most importantly I am flexible and open and self sufficient and happy with my own company or with others.
I would love to have the chance to try something a little different from pure travel. If you are reading my profile- thankyou - why don’t you give me a try?!

Angela and Peter were a very friendly couple who took great care of our cats. Our cats require a calm approach and medical care, and Angela and Peter made sure that we could leave for vacation without any concerns. Kobe and Lize were great hosts. They were extremely welcoming and very clear about explaining everything that needed to be done to care for their two cats, Marie and Sam. Barbara and Martin are wonderful hosts. They are kind, considerate and generous people who go the extra mile to make a Workaway experience rewarding and memorable. Barbara is a great cook and we had some lovely evenings chatting over good food and wine in their kitchen.
