Greetings hosts! I’m a friendly, hardworking Canadian gal between contracts and looking to experience other ways of living and meet new people. At home in Ontario I am trained interior designer working most recently for Queen's University and various architects, I've also run my own mobile food business and enjoyed various stints in the food industry and construction.
I'm known by friends and colleagues for my smile, warmth and humour. I'm easy going but responsible, hardworking and creative. I enjoy being social and contributing to family life but also appreciate time for personal reflection.
I have a deep respect for other ways of life and am very interested in learning about other cultures, languages and traditions. I'm eager to contribute to the required tasks in exchange for the opportunity to learn and enjoy life.
In addition to being an enthusiastic snowboarder I also enjoy ice skating, snow shoeing, cycling, squash, hiking and many other sports.

I am a fairly well rounded person who genuinely enjoys assisting others with projects and getting my hands dirty.
I’m a passionate cook and enjoy creating all types of cuisine, especially flavourful, nourishing, comfort foods.
I've had a career as an Interior Designer on and off for over 15 years. I thoroughly enjoy creative problem solving to help improve efficiency & aesthetics of a space. I have a keen interest in design and alternative building methods and am comfortable in a tool belt after two years working in construction and my own home renos.
I have the best memories of previous workaway experiences in Italy a few years back where I assisted with housekeeping & farm work in agritourism, making some life long friends along the way. Though I’m not so experienced with gardening/farming I would love to learn more.
I enjoy spending time with and caring for children. I absolutely love being an Auntie to my nephew Beau, he is 12 and has become a great little chef and eager camper (thanks to his Auntie!).
It has been a few years but I also enjoy knitting, sewing, painting and general crafting.
