I am Andreas (53) and my wife Konstantina (51) with two grown daughters, aged 23 and 19.

We are a couple who love nature, travel, music, and meaningful work, and we are always looking for interesting projects and kind people to connect with.

For many years, we have been running our own wedding decoration business, specializing in flowers and creative event design.
We also operate a home and deep-cleaning service, focusing on mattresses and carpets.

We both enjoy hands-on work and are happy to help with a variety of manual tasks.
Andreas is skilled with small repairs and practical work, while together we share a passion for creating beautiful, joyful experiences through our projects.

We are also engaged in the study and breeding of butterflies, which we release during weddings as a special and symbolic event, representing happiness, renewal, and good fortune for newlyweds.

We have been together since 1993, sharing both our life and our work side by side.

Our goal is to get to know Slovenia or Austria, its culture, and its people, and to gradually become part of this beautiful country’s community.

During our last trip to Austria and Slovenia, especially in Vienna, Salzburg and Ljubljana we completely fell in love with those countries! We were impressed by how everything works in harmony — the respect for people, the beauty of nature, the cleanliness of the cities, and that deep feeling of safety and balance. Since then, we’ve often dreamed of returning, not as tourists this time, but to live and contribute — to truly experience topic life and become part of it.

Thanks to Workaway, we now have the chance to take that step. What we hope for most is to meet local people, learn from you, and give something back through our daily help and energy.

We’re both healthy, active, and hands-on people who enjoy practical work. For almost twenty years, we’ve run a wedding decoration business using natural, fresh flowers — decorating churches, gardens, and venues. We also love building wooden structures and creative installations ourselves, always finding joy in making things with our hands.

In our free time, we love hiking and swimming (even when it’s a bit cold!).

We live simply and close to nature. I’ve built a rocket stove from recycled materials, and besides our decoration work, I run a small mattress and carpet cleaning service. I’ve also been involved in sustainable cultivation, permaculture, and natural building — like small cob and straw houses.

We also enjoy gardening and growing vegetables in greenhouses, experimenting with year-round cultivation.

My English is quite good, and I’ve recently started learning German, so with young children, I might even be on the same learning level—which could make communication fun and natural! One thing is certain: I’ll make them laugh alot. When my daughters were little, I was always the life of the party—dressing up as a clown, inventing games, and keeping their friends entertained. I easily become a child again when I’m around kids!

We’re happy to help wherever needed: housework, cooking, maintenance, gardening, taking care of children or animals, shoveling snow — you name it! We’re flexible, reliable, and used to working hard.

I can even bring my new Stihl chainsaw — I’d love to learn how to cut and prepare firewood properly. Our dream for the near future is to buy a small piece of land and create a simple, self-sufficient farm, living in harmony with nature and growing our own food.

We both have car and motorcycle driving licenses and are always open to learning new skills.
