Description
I am Amanda, a hard working, positive, nature loving person who appreciates genuine connection with others. I love to read, cook, meditate, travel, and be outside. While I am relatively new to worktrading, I am not new to cultural exchange. I spent a year backpacking around South America, Southeast Asia, Australia, and Japan in 2010, and I have taken several trips abroad since. I grew up in North Carolina and spent four years living in Colorado. I have an adventurous spirit but I am a quiet, contemplative person who appreciates solitude. In my own journey toward a meaningful life, I have decided that bringing authenticity and kindness to everything I do and everyone I meet is as good a start as any. As far as work goes, I bring relentless optimism, tenacious energy, a problem solving attitude, and plenty of grit. I am looking for opportunities, ideally in a home or on a farm, to help with projects of any kind. I love to cook, to organize, and build things, and I have some experience with carpentry. I'm dying to learn more in the garden. I'm open to being involved with my hosts and their family and friends, cooking and sharing meals or working together, or I can happily keep to myself.

I have skills in project management and business operations (I ran a small business for the last three years). I am adept with a computer and can help with finance and accounting. I have excellent writing and editing skills. I am an excellent cook and can make meals of any kind with little to no direction. I speak and write intermediate Spanish. I have an undergraduate and Master's degree in international studies and am well traveled.

We really enjoyed having Amanda stay and help out . She is bright, smart and full of energy. She helped out with all sorts; organising, sorting, cleaning, gardening ( heavy work), painting, moving gear and lots more. I loved my time at this Workaway. The Star Valley is absolutely beautiful, and the set up here for Workaways is well organized and very accommodating.
