Hi! I’m Amália from Slovakia😊
I’m graduating high school this June and looking for a meaningful (and fun!) summer experience before starting university — something where I can help out, learn new things, and meet inspiring people.

I’m a creative and open-minded person — I love arts, music, and media. I enjoy photography, video editing, and graphic design, and I also play piano and guitar and love singing. In my free time I like staying active (gym, outdoors), trying new food, traveling, and spending time with friends. I’m also a big animal lover, especially cats, dogs, and horses.

I volunteer with AFS as a social media manager, where I also work with international students. We even hosted a Belgian student for half a year, so I’m used to meeting people from different cultures and helping them feel at home. I also teach extracurricular activities for children and have experience from a volunteer summer camp, which taught me responsibility, patience, and how to create a fun and safe environment.

I’d say I’m friendly, responsible, and adaptable — I’m happy to help with anything from creative projects to daily tasks, working with animals, or helping with kids. I genuinely enjoy being useful and part of a team.

I have a mix of creative, technical, and practical skills, and I enjoy being active and helpful in different environments. I’m adaptable, responsible, and always open to learning new things.

Technical & digital: I have experience with video and photo editing, social media content creation, graphic design, and digital art. Through volunteering with AFS, I’ve helped manage social media and create engaging content. I also have basic knowledge of Python and enjoy working with technology.

Creative: Creativity is a big part of my life — I enjoy drawing, painting, crafts, and digital art. I also sing and play piano and guitar, and I love bringing creative energy into projects or activities.

Practical: I’m comfortable with daily tasks like cooking, helping around the house, and gardening. I have a driver’s license and don’t mind hands-on work. I have experience with animals, I have a cat, used to dog sit for my family and I used to ride horses, so I’m happy to help with animal care and outdoor tasks

Working with people & kids: I teach extracurricular activities for children and have experience from a volunteer summer camp (workcamp). I’m patient, responsible, and enjoy creating a fun and safe environment. Through AFS and hosting an international student, I’ve also worked with people from different cultures and love being part of a team.

I’m a positive and easygoing person who enjoys both being social and having calm moments. I love deep conversations but also just laughing over random things or sharing good food with others.

I’m quite organized and respectful of shared spaces, and I always try to bring a good atmosphere wherever I go. I’m the type of person who will help out without being asked and stay curious about everything around me.

I also really enjoy capturing moments — whether through photos or videos — so I’d be happy to document experiences if that’s something useful for you 📸

Overall, I’m just excited to step out of my comfort zone, recharge, meet amazing people, and create meaningful experiences together 💛
