Hi, we're Erin & Alex!

We're a couple from North America—Erin is from California and Alex is from Canada. We’re laid-back, friendly, reliable, and always up for a new adventure. We love being outdoors, exploring new places, meeting people from different backgrounds, and experiencing different ways of life.

We’re both active and love spending time outside. Surfing is Alex’s biggest passion, and Erin has recently started learning since arriving here. We’re always excited to try something new and make the most of wherever we are.

Alex has an extensive background as a mechanic and is a very hands-on, practical person. He enjoys fixing, building, maintaining, and figuring out how things work, and he’s definitely not afraid to get his hands dirty. Whether it’s repairs, maintenance, construction projects, or general work around a property, he’s always happy to lend a hand and put his skills to use.

Erin is a creative at heart, with a huge passion for dance and creating art in all kinds of mediums. She loves being outdoors in any capacity—whether that’s at the beach, in the mountains, or simply spending time in the garden. She especially enjoys opportunities to combine her creativity with the outdoors.

Erin also loves cooking and baking and is always happy to spend time in the kitchen preparing and sharing meals with the people around her. And, of course, exploring somewhere new is even better when there’s good food involved!

We’re hoping to use Workaway as a way to immerse ourselves in new cultures, meet great people, and contribute wherever we can. We’re happy working independently or as part of a team and take pride in doing quality work while bringing a positive attitude to whatever we’re doing.

We’re open to all kinds of projects and are always keen to learn something new. Whether it’s maintenance, building, repairs, gardening, cooking, creative projects, or simply helping out with day-to-day tasks, we’re happy to pitch in and get involved. We are both quick learners and work great as a team.

We’re looking forward to meeting new people, sharing experiences, learning from others, and hopefully becoming a helpful part of your home or project!

I have a strong mechanical background and can diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair almost anything. My professional experience is in heavy equipment and diesel engines, including hydraulics, electrical systems, engines, and general maintenance. I'm confident using a wide variety of hand and power tools and am comfortable learning new equipment and systems quickly. I have experience welding, operating machinery, carpentry, landscaping, and general construction work. I'm a practical problem solver who thinks well on my feet and enjoys finding solutions when unexpected challenges come up. Whether it's repairing equipment, building something, maintaining property, or helping with outdoor projects, I take pride in doing quality work and seeing tasks through to completion. I'm physically fit, hardworking, adaptable, and comfortable working independently or as part of a team. I'm always willing to learn new skills and help wherever I'm needed.
