Hello my friends,
I am Alen coming from Slovenia (little green country in the heart of Europe). Last 13 years I live abroad. Started in Ireland where I completed PhD in renewable energy. I have one foot in science and another on the airport, combining research work and travelling around the globe.
The spirit of voluntering fulfils me personally since I can contribute my litte help to make our world nicer. I have volunteering experiences by taking part in NGOs like Red Cross, IAAS-International Association of Agricultur Students (http://www.iaasworld.org/) and ZNI-Institute for New Age Education (http://www.zni.si/). I have been workawaying on a organic farms, animal shelters, hostels, homestays, schools in Ireland, Mexico, India, Sri Lanka, Turkey, Colombia, Ecuador, Spain, and Kenya. Each one of them unique, educational, and beautiful story. I like to play guitar by the camp fire, making earings from the plant leaves, climbing, hichhicking. I am looking towards enjoying every moment of life. Being free in mind and contribute as much as possible. Honestly, it is easier said than done. I would like to meet you nice travellers, handcrafters, farmers, artists, scientists and anyone who would love to tell me her/his story and listen to mine.

- Was raised on the farm where I learned about lifestyle on the countryside. I want to diversify my skill-set by engaging into various volunteer/woraway practices around the globe.

- Practice vipassana meditation and doing regular sport activities.
- Enjoy spending time outdoor in the mountains, waters, deserts, forests and discovering surrounding flora and fauna.
