Hi! I'm Aesha, a master university student from the Netherlands, 25 years old, and I'm looking for meaningful adventures and opportunities to learn. I'm currently studying philosophy and biology, both at Leiden University, and I'm especially interested in nature, culture, education, and how we can better understand ourselves and each other.

One of the things I enjoy most is meeting people from different cultures and hearing their stories. I love learning how others see the world, and I believe that stepping outside my comfort zone is one of the best ways to grow. I'm still figuring out exactly what path I want to take in life, but I know that curiosity and meaningful connections are important values for me. I also find it incredibly inspiring to see people show up as their authentic selves and flourish, it reminds me to keep growing myself.

I feel happiest when I'm surrounded by nature and animals. I love caring for animals, spending time outdoors, hiking, exploring forests, and simply enjoying a slower pace of life. Music is another big part of who I am: I play guitar, sing, and love making music together with others. I also enjoy dancing, running and practicing yoga (I'm a yoga teacher). In the end, I'm a fairly easy-going person. A cozy evening, good conversations, cooking together, laughing, or spending time with animals can make me just as happy as going on an exciting adventure.

I gained my university diploma for a bachelors in the research field of psychobiology/neuroscience, so have been educated to do academic and experimental research. I have worked as a teacher-assistant so have some experience in tutoring and education. I speak english and dutch and am trying to learn spanish right now, am at B1 level. As i volunteered at an animal shelter for cats and dogs for around a year and grew up with them, and catsit once in a while, I would say I have experience dealing with and taking care of these animals, but would love to learn to take care of other animals as well. Moreover I have babysat here and there so working with children is no issue and I enjoy it!

Other than that I play the guitar for fun and have affinity with music in general, and would say I'm not bad with photography and videography either, I enjoy editing film. Since I have lived abroad and have done various courses on interculturality, and also since I grew up in a dutch and indian multicultural household, I would say I am openminded to get to know all kinds of people and have the intercultural skills to make anyone feel heard and connected!
