Hey! I am a 23-year-old student who studies in Hawaii, with classes focused on bio conservation, visual arts, and Chinese. Being employed since the age of 15; hard work is not a foreign concept to me! I love a challenge and seek out opportunities to grow. In just the last couple of years, this need for adventure has led me to successfully complete an expedition to Base Camp of Mount Everest and serve a volunteer mission in the country of Taiwan for 18 months. In that time I was required to learn Mandarin Chinese and use it in a variety of service settings. In Taiwan I lived with and worked amongst natives, giving me the practice and appreciation of intercultural living. My employment history is well varied in nanny work with kids, professional and office settings, and time as a community support worker for an autistic client. I have learned from and loved every person I have worked with!

I am home for the summer and looking for a destination for safe solo travel and opportunities to serve! Ideally within the months of June and July. Please reach out if you have suggestions or want to discuss how I could come and help!

I am not afraid of new tasks that will humble me and force me to work hard! I grew up working in the garden with my mom, fixing cars with my dad, and caring for my younger siblings and pets. Being a nanny, a missionary, a secretary, and a few other titles have given me practice in developing confident social skills and a patient heart. Teaching English in Taiwan and spending the time to learn Chinese has helped me conquer any fear of language barriers and excitement to support anyone attempting to learn English. I prefer outside work, whether that be solitary tasks or interactive with others - I treasure alone time, but learn most from those I serve!
