  Hi!
  My name is Nicolas, I'm 27 , and with my parents (Brigitte & Pascal) and my brothers (Martin & Pierre), we bought an old small farm in the beautiful French countryside (Limousin), where I'm living with my girlfriend, Marieke. She is 25 years old and coming from Belgium. We also have 2 cats (Spinaccio & Choucroute) and 4 chickens.
  Our project is to renovate the buildings (as ecologically as possible) and create a sustainable garden, full of biodiversity, re-taking the principals of permaculture.
  I'll be really pleased to welcome you in this beautiful place, exchange knowledge, have a good time, visit some places around, and work on the project :).
  
  Je m'appelle Nicolas, j'ai 27 ans et avec mes parents (Pascal et Brigitte) et mes frères (Martin et Pierre) , nous avons fait l'acquisition d'un vieux corps de ferme dans la belle campagne Limousine, dans lequel je vis avec ma copine, Marieke. Elle a 25 ans et elle vient de Belgique. On as aussi 2 chats (Spinaccio & Choucroute) et 4 poules.
  Nous avons pour projet de rénover l'habitation et les autres bâtiments, ainsi que de créer un jardin abondant et diversifié en reprenant les principes de la permaculture.
  Je serai très heureux de pouvoir vous accueillir , passer du bon temps, échanger, et partager des connaissances :) .

  Cultural exchange and learning opportunities

  I'm passionate by gardening, plants, animals, permaculture, brewing beers... I can share with you all the knowledges I learned during the past few years doing landscaping, market gardening, volunteering.
  
  Passionné du domaine végétales, des jardins, de la faune, la permaculture, du brassage, etc.. je peux partager avec vous toutes les connaissances que j'ai acquises ces dernières années.

  Help

  We gonna need help in the garden, for maintaining, weeding, harvest, seeding, planting, installation/build a green house, build a solar shower... but also for building renovation, renovation in the barn, isolation... plenty of different things, we have a huge list, but it will depend on when you come and what you want to do ;) usually the work we ask for is physical, we're asking 5h/day, 5day/week of work.
  
  Nous allons avoir besoin d'aide au jardin pour entretenir, récolter, semer, planter, installation/création serre, pergola, etc... mais aussi pour rénover les bâtiments avec diverses tâches concernant, l'isolation, faux plafond, pose de cloisons, nettoyage et rénovation dans la grange, etc... plein d'activités variées en fonction des dates, de ce qui vous intéresse et de vos compétences ;). Le travail demandé reste la plupart du temps assez physique, le temps de travail demandé est de 5h/Jours, 5jours/semaine.

  Accommodation

  The inside of the house is still under construction. We will do everything we can to make you feel at ease. I have space to put some tents and also have a small garden cabin with a bed, a desk, electricity and camping shower. In summer we take a shower outside. I also have space for one van/caravan. I can welcome 1 to 2 volunteers at the same time. There's only one kitchen, the meals are mostly vegetarian, hope to share some recipes :). For ecological reasons, we only have compost toilet.
  
  Ayant la maison actuellement en chantier. Nous ferons tout ce qui est en notre pouvoir pour que vous vous sentiez à l'aise. Nous pouvons accueillir en tente ou dans une petite cabane de jardin durant la saison estivale, mais aussi 1 à 2 camion ou caravane sur le terrain. La cuisine est commune, les repas seront végétariens, nous pouvons nous partager des recettes avec grand plaisir :). Par soucis d'écologie, la maison fonctionne en toilette sèche.

  What else ...

  The farm is located in a rural spot surrounded by nature, cows and sheeps. There's is some nice walks to do around the farm and also beautiful villages and castles nearby (for example Ségur le Château). Also bigger villages like Saint Yrieix la Perche with all accommodations (market, restaurant, bar, train station for Limoges, cinema , etc)
  We are not far from Dordogne and Corrèze were you can find a lot of different activities like kayak, hiking, different kinds of festivals, caves, etc.. I can lend you two bikes if you are brave enough (the region is quite hilly).
  You will need a good pair of shoes and some clothes that can get dirty!
  
  
  La ferme se situe dans un petit hameau reculé entouré de nature, de vaches et de moutons.
  Il y a quelques ballades sympas à faire à pied autour de la ferme et aussi de très jolis villages et châteaux pas loin (par exemple Ségur le Chateau) et de plus grandes villes avec toutes commodités comme Saint Yrieix la Perche (bar, restaurants, gare, marché, cinéma, recyclerie etc)..
  Nous sommes juste à côté de la Corrèze et de la Dordogne où vous ne manquerez pas de trouver des activités diverses (kayak, grottes , randonnées , lacs, marchés, festivals en tout genre). Je peux également prêter deux vélos aux plus courageux d'entre vous (région assez vallonnée).
  Une bonne paire de chaussures et des vêtements sont requis pour le travail.
