Hi! I'm Irene, a Spanish girl living in France for 10 years now!

Passionate about ecology and renewable energies, I'm actually working in the domain of solar plants.
I’m a volleyball player, I love cultural visits, and I am looking to learn a lot of new skills, specially in the DIY jobs (so if you have to build a closet… I’m the person you’re looking for! :D).
Living in France for ten years now, I had the chance of discovering French culture in day-to-day life. Being close to locals has been, in my experience, the better way to discover a country. So that’s why, when I decided to start a 6 months travel in different countries (USA, Mexico and Argentina), volunteering appeared to me as a wonderful way of discovering the different countries.
I love people, so I can easily adapt myself to the habitudes of the families, and I know that opening a home to a foreigner is a big step, so I always try to be very respectful with the needs and demands of the hosts.

I have been working for 4 years in the development of ground-based solar power plants (environmental component). Working since childhood in the family home, I have already worked in the renovation of buildings, and I worked a lot in gardeening activities.

I love to learn new skills (specially in the DIY domain), so I would be pleased to assist a host who knows better than me those skills.

I'm Spanish, but I lived in France for 10 years now so I fluently talk both languages, and I would be pleased to tech them if necessary (I have been language professor as a job student).

My English is, on the other hand, a little less good, but I can completely understand and make myself understood :)

I love sports, I danced classic ballet for years, and I'm now a volleyball player, so I would be loved to share this passion with my host or friends!
