Description
Hi, I’m Zohra (22) and I’m from the Netherlands. I recently came back from studying abroad in Bangkok, an experience that truly broadened my life. This experience made me fall incredibly in love with Thailand and the rest of SE Asia. That’s why I decided to go traveling again for 6 months. I have no plans, I just know that I would love to do workaways to help animals or people and that will learn me something new.
I have a huge passion for traveling, meeting new people and learning more about different cultures. Doing things I’ve never done before, eating things I’ve never eaten before. I’m all up for it. I love the adventure. I am a very open person once I get to know you a little bit, and really open minded and accepting. I study psychology, so I love a deeper conversation about people :) I love swimming, reading, animals, hanging out with friends and I’m starting to get more excited about all sorts of art.
I would love to learn more about meditation, yoga, spirituality and healing. I’m also really interested in learning about animal welfare, nature, sustainability and I would love to help to make a change.
I’ve done 5 workaways before. One was in a dog shelter in Portugal that I loved so much, I returned 4 times. In total I spent about 12 weeks there, giving me experience with dogs and cats! I also volunteered at two hostels (one in Turkey and one in The Philippines) before, where I interacted with guests, helped in the household and prepared breakfast. I also stayed at a monestery for 10 days where I mostly helped in the garden! The last workaway was at a farm where I helped with gardening, making hay and with animals.

More details about your skills
I love to work hard and try things I’ve never done before. I have a lot of experience with taking care of children, and I always make sure they have a great time. Like I said before, I’m really good with animals, and I have experience with pets, and a little bit with farm animals. I’m sure I would be completely fine when working with all sorts of animals. Cooking and baking are my hobbies, so I would love to help with that. When I was young, I had a small piece of land with vegetables, and I learned about weeding and harvesting. I think I can still do that, when I do it again for a while.
I took care of elderly people, and helped them with their household. I learned a lot about cleaning and making beds etcetera. At the same time, I worked as a waitress at a small restaurant. I think my past in working these jobs makes me suitable for working at a hostel.

What else ...
I can talk for hours about the books and movies I love. Reading is an important part of my life. I like everything that’s dangerous, adventurous or fast, but I also like calming things. Going to theme parks and horse riding are my favorite things to do. I like having deel conversations or just simply playing boardgames. I never judge, and I’m a very open en accepting person.
