Hello! I'm Yassir from Morocco, an open-minded, curious, and easygoing person who enjoys meeting people from different cultures, learning new skills, and stepping outside my comfort zone.

I joined Workaway because I believe that traveling and volunteering are some of the best ways to grow as a person, build meaningful connections, and experience life from different perspectives. Every place has something to teach us, and I enjoy contributing wherever I can while learning from the people I meet.

Recently, I've started a new chapter in my life by pursuing a career in English teaching. I'm TEFL-certified and passionate about helping people build confidence in English. I'm currently developing my teaching skills through practice, volunteering, and continuous learning, while also improving my own English and learning Spanish. As someone who is learning a new language, I understand the challenges learners face, and I enjoy creating a positive, encouraging environment where people feel comfortable learning and making mistakes.

I'm happy to help with a variety of tasks, including English conversation practice, language exchange, welcoming guests, helping around the house, gardening, simple maintenance, and daily activities. I enjoy working as part of a team, and I'm always willing to learn something new.

I also have practical experience with handyman work and carpentry. I can help build fences, wooden lofts, simple furniture, or small structures using basic materials. Since I spent much of my childhood in villages, I'm very comfortable around animals and genuinely enjoy taking care of them.

One of my favorite experiences has been hosting more than 50 travelers through Couchsurfing. It gave me the opportunity to meet amazing people from all over the world, exchange cultures, and build lasting friendships. It also helped me understand what hosts value most: respect, communication, reliability, and a positive attitude. Now I'm excited to experience Workaway from the traveler's perspective and contribute to projects that make a meaningful impact.

Outside of volunteering, I enjoy photography, hiking, music, sports, cooking, and exploring new places. I love capturing meaningful moments through my camera and discovering local cultures through conversations, food, and everyday life.

I'm TEFL-certified and currently building my career as an English teacher. I enjoy helping people improve their English through conversation, language exchange, and engaging activities. I'm patient, supportive, and passionate about creating a positive learning environment.

I also have strong handyman and carpentry skills and enjoy building, repairing, and maintaining simple structures and furniture. I'm practical, reliable, and enjoy working with my hands.

In addition, I have experience in customer service, enjoy working with people from different cultures, and can assist with administrative tasks such as organizing documents, spreadsheets, and schedules.

Photography is another passion of mine, and I'd be happy to help create and edit photos for websites or social media. Above all, I'm a quick learner who is always willing to help and take on new challenges.
